Dear Potential Resident of 18 Ptarmigan Drive in Shrewsbury. We are excited to show you this beautiful house located near a quiet cul-de-sac that has served us well for over twenty years. In our time living here, we have watched Shrewsbury become a lively, modern town with access to many shops, parks, and excellent restaurants. It has grown tremendously for its ideal location between cities as well as its esteemed schools and continues to be one of the top-rated places to live in Massachusetts.
We were the first to move into this home when it was built in 1999 and have been its only residents ever since. Initially, we were attracted to this town for its easy highway commute and location but have grown to love it for its schools and community. It satisfies different styles of living and family needs with proximity to Boston and Worcester while maintaining the privacy and quiet of a suburb. It was a bittersweet decision for us to leave this home, but we are excited to start a new chapter of our life. Before we say goodbye to this home, please allow us to list a few of our favorite features:
-This house has plenty of rooms for family and work. We have used our basement as an office, game room, home gym, and a place for storage. It is super comfortable to work from home, and our kids have also enjoyed decorating their own rooms and using them to study. We have also upgraded all the flooring, kitchen cabinets, appliances and bathrooms.
-Our deck receives wonderful sun in the afternoon. We have always loved the clean air of the backyard and the pleasant breeze that blows through the trees.
-Our front yard accommodates three cars in addition to a garage, plus street parking which has been perfect for hosting family and friends.
-Through the spring and summer, we frequently enjoyed barbecuing outside with its easy access to the kitchen and private backyard.
-This neighborhood is extremely safe. Many kids play together in the neighborhood park and sled down the hill in the wintertime. This neighborhood also has plenty of sidewalks for easy walking or jogging.
-Our neighbors have been lovely. Our now-grown children are still friends with the kids they played together with when they were small.
-The high school and middle schools are minutes away, super convenient whether you plan to drive or bus to school. There is also a daycare located inside the neighborhood.
-Some of our favorite restaurants are also minutes away as well as tons of grocery options. There is always something new coming to Shrewsbury!
